Penis enlargement surgery basically consists of two parts. These are penis lengthening and penis thickening. In addition, additional applications such as removing fat from the groin and correcting the webbed penis, which will benefit the patients according to their anatomical structure, are performed.

The only effective method to achieve penile elongation and growth is surgery. The procedure performed in penis lengthening surgery is the release of the suspensory ligaments of the penis. The penis has 2 types of suspensory ligaments, superficial and deep. The superficial suspensory ligament is located under the subcutaneous fat layer and this ligament is the continuation of the superficial fascia of the body.

In penile lengthening surgeries, this ligament is released. The deep suspensory ligament of the penis is called the ligamentum suspensorum. The deep suspensory ligament of the penis connects the root of the penis, that is, to the pelvis of the penis. This bond is a strong bond. For penis enlargement, part of this ligament is cut and released. This liberalization rate is usually around 80%. After this release, the part of the penis in the groin moves outwards and thus elongation is achieved.

The release of this ligament does not harm the penis or sexual functions. The erection of the penis is not damaged due to the release of this ligament. The liberalization of this entire bond has also been practiced more frequently than before. However, releasing the entire ligament does not provide extra elongation. Therefore, it is not recommended to liberalize the entire bond today.

With penile lengthening surgery, the buried part of the penis, which is in the groin and connected to the pelvis, is released. With this release, the buried part of the penis almost slides out and the visible part of the penis lengthens, no real elongation is achieved in the erectile tissue of the penis.

How much elongation can be achieved with this surgery depends on how developed the deep suspensory ligament of the penis is and the size of the penis. The more developed this bond, the greater the elongation. Since this ligament is deep, it is not possible to understand how advanced this ligament is by palpation (touching) before the surgery. Again, since this ligament is located below the pelvis, it is not possible to ideally evaluate it with ultrasound.

The elongation obtained with penis lengthening surgeries varies from person to person. The elongation that can be achieved with these surgeries depends on many factors. The reason for this variability is the differences between the anatomical structures of the people and the differences in lubrication in the inguinal region and the reactions they give during recovery.

Generally, more elongation is achieved if the lubrication in the inguinal region of the person is high, if the suspensory ligament of the penis is developed and the penis size is not too small. The amount of elongation obtained in penis enlargement surgeries is usually 2-3 cm, it may be 3.5 cm in some people with appropriate anatomical structure. However, elongations above these figures are unrealistic. This elongation is mainly measured in the lowered state, and the difference in erection is less.

With this surgery, both penile lengthening and penile thickness increase are achieved. In penis enlargement surgery, first of all, if there is lubrication in the groin, fat is removed from the groin area.

Then, with a small incision in the groin area, the superficial ligaments and deep suspensory ligaments of the penis are released and thus elongation is achieved. Then, the fat taken from the groin or abdomen is purified and thickened by injection. Fat injection is applied through very small holes.

In fact, there is no incision on the penis in penis enlargement surgery. It is made with a gentle incision of about 4 cm in the groin area. If there is a webbed scrotum (webbed penis), the skin tissue forming the web in this area is released.

In cases with successful surgery and in cases where post-operative recommendations are followed, the gain is usually between 2-3 cm. In some patients with suitable anatomical structures, elongation may reach 3.5 cm. In people with significant lubrication in the groin area, the removal of fat makes the penis appear longer than it is. The elongation obtained in penis enlargement surgeries is mainly in a reduced state and is less reflected in the erection state.

Although the increase in thickness obtained with penis enlargement varies from person to person, it can vary between 25-35% of the average penis circumference. This increase is seen both in the descended state and in the erection. This rate is not the early period after the surgery, but the thickening that occurs after the edema has passed. Right after the operation, the penis looks very thick because it is edematous. As the edema passes (2-3 weeks), the actual thickness of the penis is revealed.

Like all surgeries, penis enlargement surgeries have their own risks. General surgical risks such as bleeding, infection, and suturing can be seen rarely (1%). In addition, mild asymmetries or fat accumulation due to fat injection can be seen in the early period. These usually resolve spontaneously or can be corrected with minor interventions.

Penis enlargement surgeries do not affect sexual desire, erection quality does not change, however, people who have surgery increase self-confidence. Penis enlargement is a safe operation that has been done for many years. Since no foreign body or substance is used, the complication rate is low and the recovery is fast. Contrary to popular belief, it is not very painful. Pain is felt in the first few days in areas where more fat is removed.

Penis enlargement is performed in the operating room environment, under general or spinal anesthesia. The duration of the operation is an average of 2 hours. You can be discharged on the same day. If desired, you can stay in the hospital for 1 night. It is not a painful surgery. Pain in the penis almost never occurs. There may be slight tingling in the first 2-3 days only in the areas where oil is taken. The incision in the groin is small. When the hairs grow, the scar is not obvious. Dissolving stitches are used and there are no stitches to be removed. Patients do not need to do dressing at home after surgery. If a webbed penis was intervened, it would be sufficient to simply clean that area with antiseptic sprays.

If aspirin is used before surgery, it should be discontinued 10 days before. Herbal herbal teas and other non-blood thinning drugs should be discontinued at least 7-10 days before the surgery. It is not recommended to use vitamin E before surgery, to consume too much garlic, because it can cause bleeding. It is not recommended to have a very heavy diet before the surgery. Heavy diets can slow healing. If you have a condition such as flu or cold before the operation, you should definitely inform your doctor.

It is beneficial not to smoke 2 weeks before the operation. Smoking both slows down wound healing and, more importantly, reduces the retention rate of oil. If you do not smoke for 2 weeks after the operation, the success of fat injection increases.

Loose dressing is applied for 2 days after the surgery. No dressing is required after 2 days. It can stay open. You can take a shower. Urination can be done immediately after the surgery. There is no obstruction to urination. You can start working in desk jobs 2 days after the surgery. This period may be longer for heavy works. There are no stitches to be taken. Brisk walking can be done 2 weeks after the operation. After 3 weeks, sports can be started. After the surgery, most of the swelling in the penis will go down in 15 days. Not smoking for 2 weeks after the surgery accelerates the healing and increases the retention of fat, making the thickening better. You should not have sexual intercourse for 4 weeks after the operation.
