Eyelid Aesthetic: What is it, What are the Applications and Procedures, Frequently Asked Questions

What is Eyelid Aesthetics (Blepharoplasty) and Who Is It Applied?

We perform blepharoplasty in order to eliminate all problems related to the eye area, such as sagging of the upper eyelid, unconscious and sleepy eyes, the proliferation of fold formations, swelling in the under-eye bags, sagging of the skin around the eyes. In general, blepharoplasty is suitable for our patients aged 30 and over, but in some cases it can be considered suitable for younger patients.

What is the duration of the operation?

Before deciding on eyelid aesthetics, we perform the necessary examinations around the eyes of our patients and examine the amount of fat in the lower and upper eyelids, the amount of wrinkles, and swelling in the eye area of the patient. If the patient who is decided to have the operation has eye pressure, we want her/him to be firstly examined by an ophthalmologist. After the necessary controls are made, we plan the operation.

Upper eyelid aesthetics performed with local anesthesia takes an average of 30 minutes to 1 hour. Postoperative ice application is important. Ice application for 36-48 hours reduces the bruising around the eyes. You can return to social life in 3-4 days after upper eyelid surgery. Recovery time after lower eyelid surgery is 1 week. After this operation, your expression becomes more dynamic and youthful.
