What is Eyelid Aesthetics (Blepharoplasty) and Who Is It Applied?

What is the duration of the operation?

Before deciding on eyelid aesthetics, we perform the necessary examinations around the eyes of our patients and examine the amount of fat in the lower and upper eyelids, the amount of wrinkles, and swelling in the eye area of the patient. If the patient who is decided to have the operation has eye pressure, we want her/him to be firstly examined by an ophthalmologist. After the necessary controls are made, we plan the operation.

Upper eyelid aesthetics performed with local anesthesia takes an average of 30 minutes to 1 hour. Postoperative ice application is important. Ice application for 36-48 hours reduces the bruising around the eyes. You can return to social life in 3-4 days after upper eyelid surgery. Recovery time after lower eyelid surgery is 1 week.
